DESCRIPTION
The Ancient Path of Kirra – Delphi is a historic route that connected the port of ancient Kirra with the Oracle of Delphi, used by pilgrims, priests, and merchants. The route, approximately 11 kilometers long, crosses the Krisaion Pedion and offers panoramic views of the olive grove of Amfissa, the valley of the Pleistos river, the Corinthian Gulf, and the peak of Gkiona. The path is part of the European E4 path and preserves archaeological remains, such as ruins of roads, stairs, and towers.
The route is gently downhill and takes approximately 3–4 hours, and can also be walked in reverse. It is a popular destination for hiking, combining natural beauty and historical interest.
